Specs

Processor: Intel Core i7-7500U

Memory: 12 GB of RAM

Storage: 128 GB SSD

Screen: 17.3 Inch Non-Touchscreen

OS: Windows 10

Benefits

The Dell Inspiron i7779-10017GRY doesn’t only go big on display but performance as well with some top notch hardware being included. The primary piece behind all this is the Intel Core i7 processor which easily outperforms just about anything else you are going to find available and instead of just supplying it with the standard 8 GB they have upped the ante a bit by going with 12 GB to make sure this laptop is ready to handle anything you can throw at it.

With a great 17.3 inch screen that is also Full HD this Dell is ready to give you excellent picture quality with a resolution of 1920 X 1080. If your somebody who also uses your laptop as your primary entertainment source this big screen can be a really big deal.

Downsides

One area where the Dell Inspiron i7779-10017GRY was disappointing is when it comes to file storage. We love the fact they have swapped out the slower performing SATA with a much more responsive SSD but by going with the smaller option of only 128 GB it doesn’t leave the user much room left over after the operating system takes its portion for storage. If you are somebody who saves a ton of files it won’t take you long before your struggling with clearing up files just to make room.

This laptop can literally be a pain if you plan on taking it on the go often due to its heavier then average 3.29 Kg weight. It is still quite thin for a 17.3 inch model at only 0.87 inches but the weight eliminates this from being a great mobile option.

Verdict

If file storage isn’t a great concern for you the Dell Inspiron i7779-10017GRY should be high on your list as it does everything else quite well by providing both a great display and performance that is only surpassed by some of the most expensive laptops available.
