Memory: 12 GB of RAM

Storage: 1 TB SATA

Screen: 15.6 Inch Touchscreen

OS: Windows 10

Benefits

Asus hasn’t hung their hat on just convertible technology to convince you to consider the VivoBook Flip TP501UB-BS71T-CB they have also done a very nice job of making sure it will perform well. The powerful Intel Core i7 processor is about as good as you can get in a consumer grade laptop and instead of just putting the typical 8 GB of memory in it they have upped it by 50% by going with 12 GB. This adds up to a machine that really blows the doors of most of the competition in this price range.

The 360 degree metal hinge gives you the ability to not only use the device in laptop mode but also tablet, laptop and stand are options so that you always find just the perfect mode for the task at hand.

The 15.6 inch Full HD screen also includes touch technology which is a must in any device that can be used as a tablet and is a great way to communicate with your device even when it is in full laptop mode.

Downsides

Some laptops are easier then others to find areas that could have been improved and the Asus VivoBook Flip TP501UB-BS71T-CB is one of those that proved to be a little difficult. While it may not be the biggest drawback one area the VivoBook doesn’t excel is portability with its slightly heavy weight of 2.9 KG. It seems packing so much awesomeness into one laptop comes at a cost, and that is added weight.

You will find a large 1 TB drive included in this model which is great for those who save plenty of large files but is not ideal to get the best possible performance out of your laptop, While the powerful processor and healthy amount of memory more then make up for this an SSD would have gave it a nice little boost in the overall performance department.

Verdict

Overall a great entry into the market the Asus VivoBook Flip TP501UB-BS71T-CB has tons of great features and the performance to really separate it from plenty of the competition. This is one of the better overall convertible models we have seen recently and should be high on your list of options for your next buy.
