Asus R-Series R511DA-BH10CB Review

At a glance this Asus R-Series is an all-purpose laptop and even though it might hold some cool features like most new models do such as a touchscreen or gaming features and abilities, it can handle most school related and office tasks. The 15.6 screen display is the most popular size available, it works great for entertainment and give good space for work related applications as well.  The R Series has a 4GB memory ram which is the minimum required for average users, but if you find it slowing down, consider purchasing more RAM, it will take up to 8GB. When it comes to comparing its size with other laptops that are like this, it’s average. The R500A weighs 5.56 pounds, if you look at others, it is slightly heavier than the average of 5.20 pounds, but it can store 750 GB on a hard disk drive.

Disadvantages

No Bluetooth included which could be a deal breaker for most but if you wanted to interact with your smartphone or connect to wireless speakers with your laptop. Accessing data works significantly slower than modern storage mediums. The one area where the Asus R-Series R511DA-BB10- CB performed poorly was color display. The panel registered a very low rating of 11.7. The stereo speakers designed with help from Bang & Olsen, therefore, the audio didn’t quite live up to the quality we’ve come to expect from the Danish sound experts.

Verdict

You simply won’t find a more well-rounded laptop for this kind of price range. With its Intel Core M CPU, 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD, the $699 Asus R-Series R511DA-BB10- CB is an absolute bargain. The only downsides are the quiet speakers and the lack of a keyboard backlight.
