Benefits

The Acer Aspire 2-1 convertible can be used as a regular laptop, tablet, or a stand tent. When used as a stand tent, it tilts and overlaps on the back of the keyboard remains uncovered.  the overall structure looks good and what was makes this Acer standout is the color unlike ost laptops that are black, this one comes in blue and will have white colored ones out soon as well. The whole outer case has a soft plastic texture to it and the interior is made from a simpler black texture. It may not have exceptional material but it will not scratch easily or attract dirt as easily. The track pad even though it’s out of plastic has a nice smooth touch and performs better than most track pads on higher-end laptops.

Downsides

The exterior and interior of the Acer are rigid and lack grip which makes it easier for it to slide out of the desk. The keyboard sees decent, but for an individual who types for a living this keyboard might not be a great choice to have. The keyboard does not include a back-light but then again you can’t expect it to for what the cost of the laptop is ($250).

Verdict

The Acer Aspire has cut quite a few corners and might not be for everyone, and you could without a doubt find something better if you are willing to invest more money. But if you are looking to spend no more than $300, The Acer Aspire is one of the best 2-1 life long battery laptops you will find for a good price.
