Specs

Processor: Intel Core i5-7200U

Memory: 12 GB of RAM

Storage: 1 TB SATA

Screen: 17.3 Inch Non-Touchscreen

OS: Windows 10

Benefits

No doubt the biggest benefit that is going to attract the most attention from potential consumers on the Acer Aspire E5-774G-582T is the large 17.3 inch display, This screen size is ideal for gamers, people who like to stream the latest TV episode or movie and even those who do not want to make the adjustment to a smaller screen size to get typically office or school work done.

A big display is one thing but you also need a device that isn’t going to leave you working at a snails pace because it is under powered. Luckily Acer has done a nice job her on this model by going with some above average hardware starting with the Intel Core i5 processor along with 12 GB of memory. With plenty of mid-range options stopping at 8 GB the extra 50% can make a big difference especially when multi-tasking.

SSD hard drives are great with there great performance but the lack of space can quickly frustrate users who have plenty of storage demands so the fact this laptop model has a very large and spacious 1 TB drive is a big thumbs up.

Downsides

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody who is in the market for a 17.3 inch laptop model but just in case it does keep in mind this is not going to be a light and compact option and will easily tip the scales at up to twice as much as some smaller alternatives. The Acer Aspire E5-774G-582T comes in at a full 3 KG and quite thick at 1.23 inches, This is just one of the compromises you need to make if wanting a big display laptop.

To run such a big unit you need plenty of juice and that is the main reason the battery life is average at best on this particular model, With just 4.5 hours of run time between charges it will be a struggle to get a full days work out of a single charge.

Verdict

The Acer Aspire E5-774G-582T is an overall great option if a big display is your primary concern, It also comes with some above average performance and all for a price tag that won’t completely break the bank.

    1. hi Benjamin,

Overall Acer makes good laptops, this model is powerfully and could tackle almost any heavy task. It all depends on what you are using it for e.g games, programming, web surfing etc..
For all the above it should be able to cope with it. But if you added a SSD then this and almost any other laptop/PC will increase its performance by 100% easy.

Hope this helps you. Any more questions just add a comment.
      Thanks
