Specs

Processor: Intel Pentium 3556U

Memory: 8 GB of RAM

Storage: 1 TB SATA

Screen: 15.6 Inch Touchscreen

OS: Windows 10

Benefits

Touchscreen is a great addition to this laptop and unlike some others it has driven the price to unreachable levels for those who are on a strict budget. The price tag is firmly in the low to mid range price making it affordable for students or anybody just not wanting to shell out a small fortune for a new laptop.

By going low cost and full sized you don’t necessarily have to completely give up on portability. While it won’t match some of the high priced models that are designed to be super slim and light it still stacks up quite well with a total weight of just 2.4 Kg making it reasonable for somebody who travels often.

Big on digital media? Or just have tons of work you want accessible in an instant? If so the large 1 TB hard drive will have you smiling as it takes plenty of effort to be able to cram this storage space full.

Downsides

The Acer Aspire E5-573T-P1LS does well when it comes to system memory with 8 GB available but the processor choice has left a little to be desired. The Intel Pentium 3556U is on the low end of available processors for the Intel lineup and while the generous amount of RAM will help lessen the impact the lower end processor may leave some more demanding users disappointed.

One of the ways that Acer was able to get this full sized laptop decently portable was by removing the optical drive which is starting to become an outdated technology but even with that being said there is still time when it is called for and you will be left reaching for an external drive if you have physical media to read or write to.

Verdict

The Acer Aspire E5-573T-P1LS is a great low cost option to get into the touchscreen experience and while it does have some limitations mainly around the choice of processor it should have little impact for average everyday users who do not put a big demand on their laptop.
